As a leader in the Australian communications, audiovisual (AV), and electrical industries, Intravision has been connecting people through the supply, design, installation, testing and support of high quality communication technologies for close to 20 years.

Grant Bawden, Steve Bawden, and Rick Bawden (the Bawden brothers) founded Intravision in 2000 which has grown to employ over 60 full-time employees, supported by a network of prequalified communications partners and contractors.

With over 30 years’ experience in the industry the Bawden brothers have been able to turn our clients’ most complex projects into national examples of excellence.

The company head office in Canberra and the centre for national operations and delivers nationwide service coverage. The Brisbane office opened in 2014 to focus primarily on the government, education, and data centre markets in Queensland.

Organisations depend on Intravision

Intravision provides services that are critical to organisations, and is recognised as a brand that is synonymous with robust infrastructure and business continuity. This includes Public and private sector organisations including mission critical Data Centres.

The company has continued to expand it's services to meet the changing needs of clients introducing Audio Visual, Wifi, and Civil services.

Award Winning Performance

Over nearly 20 years of operation, Intravision’s commitment to quality has established a portfolio of satisfied clients spanning local and federal government, construction contractors, and major ICT integrators.

The Bawden brothers and their exceptional team turn clients’ most complex projects into national examples of excellence. This has been recognised, both at the state and national levels, for the high-quality workmanship multiple times by the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA). Intravision recently received two 2018 ACT excellence awards from the National Communication and Electrical Association for the communication and AV fitouts at Tuggeranong Office Park, and the Canberra Airport Group’s Head Offices.

Three times the focus amplifying success

Family businesses provide a range of additional challenges for business owners. It is rare to see three siblings work harmoniously for over 30 years and then successfully bringing their children into the business and planning for succession. The owners have developed a career plan for each family member to ensure that they are given the opportunity to grow and contribute to the business. Being an offspring does not guarantee a leadership role, which must be earned organisation wide. The Bawden brothers offspring are leading projects in ecommerce implementation and contractor management in locations outside Canberra and Brisbane.

When asked for their formula for successfully working together for so long, Rick said "we talk everyday openly and honestly." Grant said that "we are clear about our respective responsibilities and support each other every step of the way" and Steve added "I focus on technical matters and have full confidence that my brothers are focused on sales, marketing and operations".

One distinguishing feature of the business is the culture created by the Bawden brothers. People and relationships are of upmost importance. This includes treating each team member as family and providing a great working enviroment. The Bawden brothers have assembled a team of trusted and highly competent senior staff around them to help achieve their goals. They see these leaders as significant contributors to their mutual success and reward them accordingly. Each brother is humble and unassuming. Old world gentlemen!
